Painted iron, up close
Metal, not moulded.
A shade like this lives or dies on its finish. The dome is iron under a gloss enamel, and the half-sphere below it is painted metal too – not glass, not a plastic globe. It comes in eight colours: White, Black, Grey, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Red and Dark green. One shape, eight moods, so you can pick the one your room actually wants.
The light’s included
Warm from the first switch.
Most pendants arrive as an empty shade, and you finish the job with a trip to the shops. This one comes with its warm white bulb already fitted. Under the iron dome sits a painted metal half-sphere that hides the bulb from below, so what reaches the room is a warm glow rather than a bare bulb in the eye. And because it is a standard screw fitting, when the bulb goes you replace it yourself – nothing obscure to hunt down.
Fitted in an afternoon
Hangs where your old light did.
It replaces an existing ceiling point. The drop adjusts at installation, which lets you hang it low over a bedside or a worktop, around 70 to 80 cm above the surface, without dropping it into anyone’s eyeline. It wires to live and neutral like a standard pendant. Fitting a light where there is no point already, or if you are unsure about the earthing on a metal fitting, is the one job worth an electrician. For glass rather than painted iron, the Zoey Glass Pendant comes in three colours; for a bar over a long table, the Thala Linear LED Pendant. - Turn the power off at the consumer unit.
- Connect to your existing ceiling point, live to live, neutral to neutral.
- Set the drop to the height you want, and you are done.
Metal fittings should be earthed or double-insulated. If you are unsure about your ceiling point, ask an electrician to check it.

Does it come with a bulb?
Yes. It arrives with its warm white bulb already fitted, so it lights the day it goes up. And because it is a standard screw fitting, when the bulb eventually goes you replace it yourself with any warm white bulb.
Do I need an electrician?
No. It replaces an existing ceiling or wall fitting on the same wires, so there is no new wiring.
