The collection
A bedroom needs two kinds of light
A bedroom is the one room where the overhead light is rarely the one you use. What matters is the second layer: something at bedside height, low enough to read by, warm enough not to wake the other person. The pieces here are chosen with that in mind.
Overhead, without the glare
If you want a single piece over the room, choose one that diffuses rather than points. The Zoey Glass Pendant uses two layers of glass in a brushed brass-finish ring, so the bulb is softened instead of exposed. It is made in three diameters and three glass colours, clear, amber and smoky grey. The Natural Stone Round Pendant sends its light downward from a natural yellow travertine shade on a wood ceiling rose and sphere.
The Modern Iron Dome Pendant is the simplest of the three, an iron shade in gloss enamel with a painted metal diffuser.
Beside the bed
A wall light beside a bed frees the surface of a bedside table and stops a cable running across it. The Crystal-Effect Cylinder Art Deco Wall Light uses a faceted crystal-effect acrylic shade on a metal backplate, in satin gold or matte black. It is sold individually, so a pair either side of a headboard means ordering two.
Sizes
Shade diameters in this collection run from 14 to 30 centimetres. Every product page lists its dimensions in centimetres, with a measured diagram in the gallery. Each piece replaces an existing ceiling or wall fitting on the same wires, so there is no new wiring to run.
