The details
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: {{LAST_UPDATED}}
These terms set out how you may use our website and the basis on which we sell to you. They are written to be read, not to catch you out. Nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by {{LEGAL_NAME}}, a micro-entreprise registered in France under SIRET {{SIRET}}, trading under the brand name LUNARIA. Our registered address is {{ADDRESS}}. You can reach us by email at {{EMAIL}}. Full business and contact details are set out in our Legal Notice.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean {{LEGAL_NAME}} trading as LUNARIA. "You" means the person using our website or placing an order. We sell to consumers in the United Kingdom.
2. Using our website
You are welcome to browse and shop with us. In return, we ask that you use the site lawfully and in good faith. Please do not:
- use the website in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with how the site runs;
- copy, resell or commercially exploit any part of the site or its content without our written permission.
We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the website from time to time. We try to keep everything available and accurate, but we cannot promise the site will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Your account
You do not need an account to order, but if you create one, please keep your login details private and let us know promptly if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for activity under your account until you tell us otherwise.
3. Our products
We describe every piece as carefully and honestly as we can, including dimensions, materials and fittings. Our product images are created to show each piece and how it can look in a room. They are representations rather than photographs of the actual item, so colours, finishes, grain, glass and scale can differ slightly from what you see on screen, and screens themselves show colour differently. These small variations are part of the character of the piece and are not a fault.
This is simply an honest note about what to expect. It does not limit your legal right to receive goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for purpose. If an item is genuinely not as described, that is covered in Returns & Refunds and under section 8 below.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP, £), and the amount shown at checkout is the price for the goods. UK delivery is free and tracked, so we do not add a shipping fee. Because your order is dispatched from {{DISPATCH_LOCATION}}, which is outside the UK, import VAT or a carrier handling fee can, in some cases, apply on delivery, particularly on higher-value orders. {{VAT_LINE}} You will not be asked to pay LUNARIA anything beyond the amount shown at checkout.
We take care to price everything correctly. If we spot a genuine and obvious pricing error before we accept your order, we will contact you to confirm whether you would like to continue at the correct price, and you are free to cancel.
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including major debit and credit cards and any digital wallets displayed. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers over an encrypted connection, and LUNARIA never stores your full card details.
5. Your order and when the contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. After you order, we send an acknowledgement confirming we have received it. This acknowledgement is not our acceptance.
A contract between us is formed only when we dispatch your goods and send you a dispatch confirmation. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because an item is unavailable, we will let you know and refund any payment in full. We may also decline an order where we reasonably suspect fraud or a pricing error.
6. Delivery
We offer free, tracked delivery to the United Kingdom, meaning we do not charge a shipping fee. Orders are dispatched from {{DISPATCH_LOCATION}} within {{DISPATCH_TIME}}, and typically arrive within {{DELIVERY_TIME}} after dispatch, sent with {{CARRIER}}. As your order is dispatched from outside the UK, import VAT or a carrier handling fee can, in some cases, apply on delivery, as explained in section 4. Full delivery information is set out on our Delivery page.
Until the goods are delivered to you, they remain our responsibility, and anything lost or damaged in transit before delivery is for us to put right. Risk in the goods passes to you only once they come into your possession at the address you gave us. Delivery times are estimates and, while we work hard to meet them, occasional delays outside our control can happen.
7. Cancellation and returns
Because you are buying at a distance, UK law gives you 14 days to change your mind, starting the day after your order is delivered, and a further 14 days to return the goods once you have told us. On top of this statutory right, we voluntarily offer a more generous 30-day returns window.
For our voluntary 30-day window, the goods should be unused and in their original condition and packaging. Under your statutory 14-day cancellation right you may handle and inspect the goods as you would in a shop, and we may only reduce a refund if their value is diminished by handling beyond that. Either way, for a change of mind you cover the cost of return postage. If an item arrives faulty or is not what you ordered, we pay the return cost and refund you in full. Refunds are made to your original payment method. The full process, conditions and timings are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Our 2-year guarantee
Every LUNARIA piece is covered by a 2-year guarantee against manufacturing faults from the date of delivery. If something goes wrong through a genuine defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace the piece, or refund you where that is not possible.
These conditions apply to the voluntary 2-year guarantee only. The guarantee does not cover ordinary wear, accidental damage, misuse, or installation not carried out in line with the instructions or, where required, by a qualified electrician. None of this affects your legal rights where the goods themselves were faulty, as distinct from damage caused by installation. This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days and the right to a repair or replacement.
9. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for business losses, as we supply our products for private, domestic use.
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer, including that goods are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
10. Intellectual property
The LUNARIA name, logo, wording, photography, graphics and page design are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view and share them for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written consent.
11. Events beyond our control
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, strikes, carrier disruption, supply shortages or similar. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you and, where there is a significant delay, you may cancel the affected order and receive a refund for anything you have paid for and not received.
12. Governing law and resolving disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. Importantly, as a consumer you always keep the mandatory legal protections of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
If you are ever unhappy, please contact us first, we would always rather put things right directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved with us directly, you may use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme or contact your local consumer advice body; if you are a UK consumer, you can contact Citizens Advice. Using ADR is voluntary and does not affect your right to go to court.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or how we operate. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top shows when these terms were last revised.
14. How to contact us
We read every message and aim to reply promptly. For anything to do with an existing order, please include your order number so we can help you faster.
