A pendant is the one light in a room that people look at rather than through. It hangs at eye level, it casts a defined pool underneath it, and it decides the character of a table, an island or a bedside before anything else in the room does. That is why these are chosen for shape and material first.
Stone, glass and iron
The Natural Stone Round Pendant uses a natural yellow travertine shade on a wood ceiling rose and sphere. The Zoey Glass Pendant is two layers of glass held in a brushed brass-finish ring, and the inner layer softens the bulb rather than hiding it. The Modern Iron Dome Pendant is an iron shade in a gloss enamel finish with a painted metal diffuser, which throws light down rather than out.
Over a long table or a worktop, the Thala Linear LED Pendant runs a metal profile with a full-length diffuser instead of a single point of light.
Sizes and drops
Shade diameters across this range run from 15 to 30 centimetres, and most pieces have an adjustable drop. The Zoey comes in three diameters and three glass colours, clear, amber and smoky grey. The Modern Iron Dome is offered in eight painted finishes, and the Natural Stone in three shade sizes. The Thala is the exception: it is a linear bar, made in four lengths from 60 to 120 centimetres. Every product page lists its dimensions in centimetres, with a measured diagram in the gallery. Each pendant replaces an existing ceiling fitting on the same wires, so there is no new wiring to run.
Where they work
