A pleated bowl that folds the light gently around the room.
A small two-tier bowl, pleated all the way round like thrown ceramic, sitting close to the ceiling. Lit, the fluting catches soft shadows and the open base glows warm — a lantern for the rooms that usually get a bare bulb: the hallway, the landing, the box bedroom.
Will it fit? Ø 23 cm and 16 cm deep, so it suits snug spaces and 2.4 m ceilings. It replaces an existing ceiling fitting on the same wires, and it takes one standard E27 bulb — so if the light ever tires, you change a bulb, not the whole fitting.

THE MATERIAL
Pleated like thrown ceramic.
The body is moulded in one piece, with deep even fluting and a soft, matte, ceramic-look finish. It is resin, not glazed ceramic, and that is quietly to your advantage: the colour runs through the material rather than sitting on top, so a knock shows far less and it will not chip the way a fired glaze can. Two tiers give it a profile that looks considered from every angle, not only head on.

The pleats do the work. Light pools down through the open base and grazes up the fluting, so the fitting itself becomes the warm object in the room rather than a bright spot you look away from. In a hallway or on a landing it reads like something found in a Copenhagen studio, and the rooms that usually make do with a bare bulb finally feel considered.
FITTING IT
Compact, and close to the ceiling.
At Ø 23 cm it is deliberately small, a quiet bowl for a hallway, a landing or a box bedroom rather than a statement over a table. It sits close to the ceiling, so it clears a 2.4 m room with ease, and it mounts on a standard plate over your existing ceiling point, the same wires and the same hole, so there is usually no new wiring.
- Turn the power off at the consumer unit and check the wires are dead.
- Screw the mounting plate over your existing ceiling point.
- Connect live to live and neutral to neutral, following the fitting guide.
- Fit a standard E27 bulb, warm white suits it best.
- Clip the bowl onto the plate, restore the power and switch it on.
It replaces a standard ceiling point, so most people put it up themselves. If you are adding a light where there was not one, or you are ever unsure about the wiring, a qualified electrician will have it up in minutes.

Does it come with a bulb?
No, and that is deliberate. It takes one standard E27, the most common fitting in British homes, so you pick the exact warmth you like rather than living with whatever came in the box. Warm white suits it best. And because it is an ordinary bulb, if it ever tires you change a bulb, not the whole light.
Is it ceramic?
It is moulded resin with a soft, matte, ceramic-look finish, not glazed ceramic. The colour runs through the material rather than sitting on top, so it is robust and will not chip the way a fired glaze can.
How big a room does it suit?
It is a compact, single-bulb bowl, best in small rooms of roughly 3–6 m²: a hallway, a landing or a box bedroom. Because it takes a standard E27, you choose how bright by choosing the bulb.
Can I dim it?
The fitting has no dimmer of its own, but because it takes a standard E27 you can fit a dimmable LED bulb and run it on a compatible dimmer switch, and it will dim smoothly.
Will it suit a low ceiling?
Yes. It sits close to the ceiling, is compatible with sloped ceilings, and is comfortable under a standard 2.4 m ceiling.
Do I need an electrician to fit it?
It replaces an existing ceiling fitting on the same wires, so most people put it up themselves. If you are adding a light where there is not one, that is a job for an electrician.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No. It is made for dry indoor rooms, so keep it out of bathrooms and other damp spaces.
