Linen and bronze, up close

The shades are wrapped in a textural oatmeal linen, so the weave and its small slubs catch the light instead of hiding from it. The band that holds them wears a deep aged bronze finish over steel, warm rather than shiny, the kind of detail that reads considered from across the room and tailored up close. Fabric shades like this usually live in designer showrooms. This one simply arrives in a box.
After dark
Light through linen is a different kind of light.
The open top cone sends a warm wash up the wall. The lower cone closes with a linen diffuser disc, so the light that falls comes through the fabric first, soft, even and warm. It is an accent light rather than a main light, the glow of a good hotel bedside brought onto your own wall. In a larger room, pair it with other light and let this one set the mood.

One warms a wall. Two frame it.
At H 24 cm and 24 cm across it is neatly proportioned, present enough to anchor a bedside wall on its own and made for pairs, either side of a bed, a chimney breast, or spaced along a kitchen wall above the worktop. It mounts to an existing wall point on the same wires, so a pair goes up on the wiring already there. It projects 12 cm from the wall, so in a narrow hallway leave room to pass. What are the shades made of?

Will it light a whole room?
It is a warm accent light, up through the open shade and softly down through a linen diffuser. It is at its best either side of a bed or above a worktop. In a larger room, pair it with other light rather than relying on it alone.

No. It replaces an existing ceiling or wall fitting on the same wires, so there is no new wiring.
