Opal Globe 6-Light Chandelier
Six opal glass globes on slender arms, mid-century and softly lit
Six opal glass globes held out on slim radiating arms: the mid-century chandelier at its most confident. Over a dining table it gives the room a centre, and lit, each globe becomes a soft warm moon while the whole piece seems to float.
Will it fit? The spread is 90 cm and the drop adjusts from 49 to 69 cm at fitting, so it hangs beautifully over a table even under an ordinary ceiling. It replaces an existing ceiling fitting on the same wires, with no new wiring.
Bulbs. It takes six small golf-ball (G45) E27 bulbs, which you supply. A small G45 sits neatly inside each opal globe; a standard larger bulb won’t pass the opening. Warm-white bulbs give the softest glow.
Dimming. The fitting isn’t dimmable in itself. It dims only when you fit dimmable LED bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer.

The light
Six moons over the table.
Opal glass does what a bare bulb or a clear shade never can: it turns each lamp into a globe of soft, even light, with no glare and no filament to stare at. Dimmed low over dinner, the six globes hold the table in a warm circle – the light every good restaurant is quietly aiming for.
Our promise
Considered until it’s up. And after.

Before you buy
Questions, answered properly.
What bulbs does it take, and will they fit the globes?
It takes six small golf-ball (G45) E27 bulbs, which you supply. Opal globes this size won’t accept a standard larger bulb – forced in, the glass can crack – so a small G45 in a warm white is the one to fit, and it sits neatly inside each globe.
Are the globes real glass?
Yes. Each shade is real opal-white glass, not acrylic, on a slim steel arm. Off it reads as sculpture; lit, as six even spheres of light.
Where does it suit best, and how big a room?
Over a dining table, a kitchen island, or a living room of 15–25 m². The 90 cm spread wants a proper stage rather than a narrow hallway.
How do I set the hanging height?
The drop adjusts from 49 to 69 cm at the fitting, so you set the height that suits your ceiling before it goes up.
Is it hard to install?
It replaces an existing ceiling fitting on the same wires, with no new wiring: a mounting plate, two rod sections and clear instructions. A second pair of hands helps with a piece this wide.
Can I dim it?
The fitting itself isn’t dimmable, but it dims when you fit dimmable LED bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer.
Can I fit it on a sloped ceiling?
No. It’s made for a flat ceiling, at its best hung over a dining table or island.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Not yet – UK addresses only for now.
